A Stitch In the Life of Claire

Here is my Gorjuss girl that I am currently stitching. I am loving her and she seems to be getting stitched up fairly quickly - well for me anyhow!!

I have another of the Gorjuss kits so guess what I will be stitching after this one??!!

I have decided that the time has come to change the spare room/craft room into a study room. I am struggling getting quiet time at home to study and so have decided that my unit which houses my papercraft things will have to go - which include the papercraft things. I am however keeping my stitching things, BUT this will also be reduced down... so keep an eye out as you might be able to grab yourself some bargains.

Shhhh!!!! I have a new start....

Martin and Katie went out earlier today to take the in-laws to the airport - Tenerife for 6 weeks!!

So while they were out I worked on my essay for Uni which is due in in just over a weeks time. When I finished the main bulk of it I decided to take a break and get out, so took Jack for a walk up the farm track. I couldnt believe how cold it was when I got out but soon warmed up with the walk.

When I got home I decided to have a look about Netflix which Martin signed up to a free trial of, and put on The Money Pit with Tom Hanks. Used to love that film when I was younger. And thats when I decided to have a new start.... and its Gorjuss `I found my family'. I am already loving it. The colours are lush and the design itself is not overly big so it could potentially be a quicker stitch. I will upload a piccie hopefully tomorrow evening when I have done some more stitching on it.

I have managed only an handful of stitches this week due to work, housework and walking Jack and come the evenings I have been too tired or sore.

Had a bit of a scare at the beginning of the week health wise with waking up with my face swollen and feeling saggy and I ached all down right arm and round my neck. My right side of face felt like it had been hit. But after a couple of days and a number of tears I felt better come Wednesday for the start of work again.

I am going to spend some time at the weekend on sorting out my stash for stitching. The spare room has over the past month become a junk room so I am going to have to make a start on that too. And now the more I think about it, the more I am considering getting rid of my paper craft things.

Ready for a New Year

We are just two days away from being in 2012. I just dont know where the time has gone!! I cant really complain about this past year - I have achieved a few things and MADE myself to some things or else I never would have done them.

I signed up the London Marathon - fair enough I wasnt one of the lucky/unlucky ones to get!!

I got myself a tattoo which I have been wanting for a few years.

I applied for Uni and got in - so started my Degree course in September.

I managed to get my head sorted and lost weight - about a stone - although I have actually put it back on. BUT I am in the `zone' again and am going to make 2012 the year!!

I have been stitching on and off for the last couple of months, but have decided to concentrate solely on stitching as my hobby rather than dabbling in a bit of often unsuccessful card making/scrapbooking... so I am considering now selling all my papercraft supplies.

I have been reading some of the blogs by my fav stitchy people and have asked to join in one of the activities - Stitch from Stash. So with this I will only stitch charts/kits within my stash and not but anymore. I am going to slowly go through my stash and sort it out and add to my Stitch from Stash list but at the moment I have 2 Gorjuss kits that got for Christmas as well as the L*K Fat Snowmen which I started stitching before Christmas.
